Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment — on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. There are approximately 170,000 people with IDD in Washington. Volunteering

Volunteers are fundamental to the success the Edmonds Independents. ​Use the contact form below to learn more about opportunities for volunteering.

Volunteering with the Edmonds Independents Foundation. Help support the organization behind our athlete:

- Fundraising and donor outreach

- Sponsorship and community outreach

- Website updates and maintenance

- Social media and content creation

- Photography and videography

- Graphic design and marketing

- Event planning, setup, and coordination

- Administrative support

- Volunteer coordination

 

Volunteering with the Edmonds Independents Teams (working directly with our athletes and coaches).

- Assisting with practices

- Coaching or Assistant Coaching

- Helping at competitions and tournaments

- Team management and organization

- Equipment setup and maintenance

- Score-keeping or timing (where applicable)

- Athlete mentoring and encouragement

- Assisting with snacks or refreshments for events
