Health History and Release Form Review Instructions
All athletes must have a Special Olympics Health History and Release Form that is not yet expired to participate in practices. To participate in SOWA competitions, all athletes must have a Special Olympics Health History and Release Form that expires after March 7,2027 completed and approved no later than November 22, 2026. Please note that many of our athletes and families have had difficulty fully completing the form without delays so it is strongly recommended that this be done ASAP. Team Participation
SOWA enforces a maximum limit for the number of athletes on teams at competitions. If we have more athletes than allowed on a team, we will fill the competition roster based on participation at practices and the order that athlete’s sign-up and participation at practices. So please sign-up as soon as possible. Also note that all athletes who have a valid Health History and Release Form can practice with the team even if we have more athletes than a SOWA competition roster allows.
Practice and Tournament Information
Basketball season will start on Sunday November 15th, 2026
Everyone who wants to play is expected to attend on the first day, November 15, from 1:45 to 4:45. When you arrive, check in with Molly Weber near the door. We will review your Health History status and provide additional instructions. Before wrapping up for the afternoon, we will assign players to tentative teams and provide the start and end time of each team's practice.

Cedar Valley Community School (please park in the parking lot, not the drop off circle)
Competition Dates and Location

Sub regional competition - Sunday, January 17, 2027 at Marysville Pilchuck High School

Regional competition -Sunday, February 7, 2027 at Marysville Getchell High School

State Tournament - Wenatchee on Friday, March 5th - Sunday, March 7th.
